We believe that a language program must be complemented with a wide range of social and cultural activities not only to allow students to use and practice the Spanish language but also to maximize student's exposure to Argentinean culture.
Thus, as complement of our language programs and straight way to Argentinean's cultural events and sights, we organize two activities per week and a weekend excursion every two weeks. Apart from our activities students are also provided with a weekly cultural events schedule.
Activities: all activities are conducted in Spanish by one or two of our teachers. Twice a week activities are offered and students may need to pay for transportation, tickets, drinks/food if eating out, etc.
- Barbecue Welcome Party - every first week of the month we have got a party to welcome the new students and introduce them to the enrolled students. Despite being the “assado” - the well known Argentinean barbecue - the main dish of this party, a large range of salads and vegetarians' dishes are also available so that vegetarians may take part and enjoy the party.
- Tango classes - for beginners and more experienced dancers. Give by specialized teachers training beginners in the mastering of the basic steps: eight simple movements that may be learned in a few hours.
- Tango night - after a tango class it is time to practice what the students were taught in the “milongas” (Tango clubs). Buenos Aires is full of “milongas” with live orchestras and dancers. The most traditional tango places are “San Telmo” and “Abasto”.
- Latin cinema - popcorn and soda to watch a Latin film at school or theatre.
- Argentinean nightlife - a teacher goes out with the students. It is time meet people, see the city's nightlife and enjoy themselves.
- 03 de Febrero Park - located in the neighbourhood of Palermo this park considered the “green lung” of the city. Launched in 1890, this park was project of the French landscaper Carlos Thays. Shady trees, sculptures, footpaths, gardens and a magnificent water body are part of its attractions
- Visits to museums - there are more than one hundred museums in Buenos Aires. If you like museums this is a perfect city for you.
- Visits to theatres - the diversity and quality of the options available
in Buenos Aires make theatres one of the most important cultural activities of the city. Once a month students accompanied by a teacher go to see a play.
- Botanic Garden - this is one of the greenest areas of the city contrasting with the busy traffic of Plaza Italia. The architect Carlos Thays made this garden his masterpiece, since there you will find original sculptures and reproductions, bronze and marble statues
scattered in fountains and among the trees.
Weekend excursions: all activities are conducted in Spanish by one or two of our teachers. Every two weeks a weekend excursion is offered and students may have to pay for participating.
